Our Power and Controls Rockford, Illinois facility is currently seeking a Senior Electronics Technician. As the Senior Technician, you will involve a variety of responsibilities including mechanical and electronic assemblies, rework, repair, troubleshooting, fabrication, and interpretation of schematics and engineering drawing specifications. You will work closely with Engineering, Project leads, and your direct manager to support different project types, including production assembly/rework, engineering prototypes, test equipment builds, and production/qualification testing.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Fabrication, rework, and prototyping of electronic assemblies used in test equipment, research, and development programs.

  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, process instructions, and engineering specifications.

  • Project support: working with Engineers & Project leads to support assembly, rework & fabrication.

Qualifications/ Experience Needed:

  • Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mechanical & Electronic assembly experience.

  • Knowledge of mechanical tools, power hand tools, and measuring devices.

  • Manufacturing knowledge, soldering, harnesses, unit builds.

  • Experience with electronics and reading schematics.

  • Experience with metal fab using band saw, mill, lathe, and other fabrication equipment.

  • Experience with soldering techniques; IPC J-STD-001 certification knowledge preferred.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 83,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
